Father’s Day has always been a special day for me and my family.
Father’s Day has always been a special day for me and my family. Growing up my father was a strong presence in my life, always showing me what it meant to be a responsible adult. He was the one that taught me how to ride a bike, take care of the garden, and how to fix a flat tire. He was not only a hard-working provider, but a loving father and a great role model. Our family had a tradition of celebrating Father’s Day with a special breakfast. My mother would make my dad’s favorite breakfast, French toast with strawberries and bacon. We would sit around the table and talk about our dad, telling stories of his accomplishments and how he had made a difference in our lives. It was a day of celebration and gratitude for all that our father had done for us.
