Joseph has worked as a firefighter for 10 years, dedicating his life to helping others. As a family, we rarely see him due to his unpredictable shift schedule. For Father's Day, I wanted to do something special for this hero. Our daughter and I spent all morning baking cookies together in the shape of our family. We carefully cut out figures of each of us holding hands with smiles on our doughy faces. After they emerged from the oven, we packaged them with care. That evening, I drove to Joseph's fire station with our creation and other gifts. His tired face lit up seeing us waiting in the parking lot. As he unwrapped the new engraved band and cookies, he almmost cried. Back at the station, he displayed our family cookie proudly at his desk.
