Our baby was just one month old for our first wedding anniversary. Exhausted from late-night feedings and endless diapers, Claire and I looked forward to a low-key celebration. I surprised her with lunch from our favorite cafe - grilled cheese, tomato soup and cookies for dessert. Over meal, we reflected on the whirlwind months since our wedding. Though tired, seeing Claire's smile of joy at our growing family made the sleepless nights worthwhile. After boby's nap, we curled up to watch a movie. As the credits rolled, Claire dozed off against me. I felt a rush of love and gratitude, grateful to share this adventure together.
