My engagement story started about one year ago when my Jacob and I had been dating for two and a half years.
My engagement story started about one year ago when my Jacob and I had been dating for two and a half years. We had both been talking about marriage for some time but hadn't taken any concrete steps towards it. One night, Jacob suggested that we take a trip together, just the two of us, to a place that we both like very much. I was ecstatic! We drove up to the lake, where we both have many fond memories of swimming, fishing and simply being together. After enjoying a relaxing day, Jacob suggested that we take a stroll along the lake. It was getting dark, and the stars were twinkling in the sky. As we walked, Jacob suddenly got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was overwhelmed with joy and said yes. The evening was absolutely magical and the perfect way to seal our commitment to each other. Our engagement was something that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Even now, each time I look at my engagement ring, I am reminded of the wonderful night that Jacob and I shared together. It was a night that I will never forget, and it was the beginning of the rest of our lives together.
