My engagement story is one of great joy and surprise. It all started with a romantic evening out at my favorite Italian restaurant. We had been dating for about three years and things were getting serious, but I never expected this. My partner had been acting strangely all day, as if he was hiding something. I asked him if he was okay. He said he was just nervous. When we arrived at the restaurant, he pulled out a small box and got down on one knee. I was so shocked. Then he asked me to marry him! I didn't even need to think about it. I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with this man, so I said yes. We celebrated with a wonderful dinner and a bottle of champagne. My friends and family joined us and we laughed and shared stories until the early hours of the morning. I can still remember the feeling of joy and excitement that night. It's a moment I'll never forget. It was a beautiful start to a beautiful life together.
