So when our 10th anniversary rolled around, I knew I wanted to do something really special - just the two of us. I made reservations at a cozy bed and breakfast a few hours outside the city. Lauren was surprised when I told her to pack an overnight bag. We spent the day wandering quaint shops and dining at the cute cafe in town. That evening, over a bottle of wine, we looked out at the sunset together. I told Lauren how much I appreciated her holding down the fort for our family while I risk the unknown each day. She is my hero and I feel so lucky to have found my partner for life.
