My mom Susan has always been the glue that holds our family together.
My mom Susan has always been the glue that holds our family together. I have such fond memories from my childhood - whether it was her tucking me in at night with bedtime stories or packing lunches for school filled with funny notes of encouragement. As a busy single mother, I don't know how she managed it all with such grace. This past Mother's Day, I wanted to do something extra special for her. With the help of my brothers, I put together a scrapbook filled with photos from over the years - pictures from family vacations at the cottage, snapshots from holidays and birthdays, even baby photos of all of us kids. On each page, we wrote little memories and notes of thanks for specific things she had done for us. When I handed it with a mom ring to her on the big day, the tears in her eyes said it all. She told me it was the best gift she had ever received and that she cherished each moment we had together as a family. My mom is truly my rock and I'll forever be grateful for her love and support.
