7 years have flown by since we married in a small ceremony in NYC.
7 years have flown by since we married in a small ceremony in NYC. Now our children are growing like weeds - Yuto is 4, Hana just turned 3, and baby Shou is crawling everywhere at 1. For our anniversary, we wanted a family night together. I cooked all Takumi's faves while he gave the kids baths. Then we ordered sushi from his restaurant and had a picnic in the living room lit by candles. The little ones were passed out in no time, letting us relax. From that first study date at Columbia to purchasing our home, this American dream has been sweeter than I ever imagined. As we cleared the plates, Takumi presented me with a necklace, three miracles and growing stronger each day in this life we've built. I'm so thankful for my hardworking husband and the home we've made, far from Japan but filled with joy.
