As we turned down a trail, I stopped and faced the woman who never failed to make me smile. Reaching into my coat pocket, I took a deep breath to calm my nerves. "Emily, you've made me the happiest man just being by my side every day. Marley adores you like his mom. Will you make our little family complete by agreeing to become my wife?" With shaking hands, I opened a small black box to reveal a glittering ring nestled inside. Her eyes filled with joyful tears as she said yes, accepting the ring and my proposal. We sealed it with a kiss as Marley circled us, excitedly wagging for the bright future the three of us would share together as a family.
