I'll never forget our first date like it was yesterday. Lauren and I knew each other through friends but there was definitely something there when we started chatting. We ended up at that little Italian spot down the street and must have talked for hours. We told each other everything - about growing up, what we want in the future, what really matters to us. I knew as I walked her to her car that night that this girl was special. I booked us a table at the same Italian place to celebrate our second year. As soon as we walked in, it all came back - we just looked at each other and smiled. We polished off another bottle of wine over more laughing and chatting. After we ate, I could tell Lauren was really relaxed. I thanked her for the amazing two years and how happy she's made me. I asked if she would keep letting me make her happy too, for a long time to come. She kissed me and said yes, it was perfect.
